SureLet Cheltenham Take Over
We would like to welcome Frank Allen and Paul Saunders to the network who have recently purchased the SureLet Cheltenham franchise which originally opened in 2007. Paul and Frank have got off to a flying start and have already doubled the number of tenancy applications in one month of starting!  Obviously they make a winning partnership and together with the support of SureLet Franchising, have driven the success of the business forwards.  Working in combination with the existing network, SureLet Gloucester office and the SureLet Local agents who cover the Forest of Dean and Stroud & Nailsworth, they have all put their heads together to come up with a massive 6 month marketing campaign for both landlords and tenants.  Details of which can be found on the homepages of our Cheltenham, Gloucester, Forest of Dean and Stroud webpages and also heard on Heart FM.

SureLet 'Local', The Age of Internet Giants

The SureLet Franchising Team have been thinking of new ways to broaden their services for both landlords and tenants by providing a SureLet Local Service. This new mobile service is being trialled in Gloucestershire, close to the Franchising head quarters and Gloucester pilot office.    Again, continuing the idea of removing the administrative responsibility from the salesperson, the Local SureLet agent will be available to focus on their area from the comfort of their own SureLet branded car, armed with a Blackberry phone and laptop.

The benefit of having a local agent is that they are on hand to respond to any enquiry as soon as possible and concentrate their efforts out in the field by networking with local businesses and property developers.    Dan Lewis and Chris Newcombe, who have been running the operation, felt that all areas should be covered as well as those in a central city or town location.    By being on the road they can pass their savings on to landlords and cover any type of property from central to rural locations outside of the normal lettings office restrictions and budgets.

‘Moving away from the traditional office set up means that we can be more flexible and pro-active.    These days landlords are looking for a better service, somebody that is going to actively explore new avenues and go that extra mile to let their property. The need for a high street letting shop or office is not as important as it used to be.  Looking at how advanced internet advertising has become, the majority of leads now come from internet giants such as Rightmove.co.uk and Findaproperty.com, so I can be out and about and get these live leads through on my Blackberry phone as soon as someone enquires about a property.'

‘It is a common misconception that demand for rental property is just in and built up city centres or towns.    We firmly believe that a landlord should not be deterred by renting out their property or using a letting agent if their property is in a rural location’.

The first year has proven to be a big success, and if this continues it will be rolled out as a lower cost franchise opportunity across the country.
